There are so many benefits to doing a Detox,
Yes, being on a detox does require a fair amount of discipline, but I promise you the way I have designed this 4 day mini detox you will be successful, feel great, and will not starve. I believe the physical benefits you will receive will be worth it. Detoxification is the process of removing toxins from the body. . which is actually not happening in most people's daily routine. I just want you to know that being able to detox is the number 1 way we can have and keep our health and be disease free. I need you to know that the cause of all disease is 2 things, 1. toxicity and 2. nutritional deficiency. On my 4 Day Detox we address both.

In saying all this please be aware that toxins and free radicals that accumulate in the body can also affect brain functions. Initially on your detox, you may have trouble sleeping, fatigue, and trouble with your concentration. Once you work through this process, many of these issues will gradually disappear. You will be able to sleep better and concentrate more, have more energy and be the best version of you possible.
An awesome benefit which most people don’t think of can be the change to your lifestyle during a detox just might become a habit. As you progress and continue to practice my 4 day detox, you will begin to feel better physically and mentally. This feeling can be addictive and lead to changing your lifestyle more permanently, to cut out bad elements which give your body those toxins. Cutting out sugar, Quitting smoking, Drinking less coffee and alcohol and adding more water and herbal teas and getting more exercise adding more actions which help protect the body. This 4 day detox is designed to help you create them as a normal part of your daily life .
My initial plan is to start you off just changing your breakfast because Jumping into a cleanse too quickly can lead to symptoms like headaches, bloating, constipation or even flu like symptoms. I recommend you start practicing how to detox by just starting with changing your breakfast. I Have included my 4 day breakfast detox guide here for you. You will receive the lunch and Dinner guides over the next few weeks. By starting with just breakfast you will not be overwhelmed.
I know it is important to minimize detox symptoms and recommend cutting down drastically on coffee, alcohol, sugar, wheat, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, and packaged, boxed, canned, or fast food always but for this cleanse especially paying attention for three to five days pre your cleanse will certainly help, in saying this the recipes I've given you depending on how good or bad your diet is should not cause any problems and if you have some symptoms just know that means your detox is working and please feel free to contact me with Questions. One symptom we do want is extra bowel movements. this is a positive way to excrete toxins. Constipation is not ok.
on the 4 day detox we will limit animal protein, such as pork, veal, beef, sausage, store bought sliced meats . You will not go hungry on this plan you simply up your intake of raw vegetable salads and lightly steamed vegetables, soups.
You must be super organised or you will find yourself starving and will make mistakes and grab chocolate or some other non detox food. I highly recommend you take time to rid your kitchen of any foods or beverages that might tempt you during your mini detox, and replace them with my recommendations so stock up on your recommended drinks and have all your produce ready.
I've planned your menu for the week and added a grocery list. So be sure to make time for shopping on Sunday and some cooking as well especially your soups. Please go ORGANIC for the 4 days. If you don’t normally buy organic, I totally understand as I realise it's harder to find and less affordable however we are trying to remove toxins from your body and non- organic food can be very high in chemical residues so if you cannot go 100 percent then please work of my dirty dozen list look for local farmers markets, health food stores, or grocery stores with a good selection of organic foods. Again if you’re not able to buy all produce organic, get a fruit and vegetable wash to help rid your produce of pesticide residues, waxes, and other undesirable chemicals. Prevent Caffeine Withdrawal and food cravings
If you drink caffeinated beverages on a regular basis, you may experience headaches, tiredness, and other caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Starting to decrease your caffeine any time is a great idea for your health as it is very acidic and leaches minerals from our body. Pre your 4 day detox start substituting and reducing your coffee. I have added a few natural options for caffeine for you as your off caffeine for 4 day's

food cravings are generally fixed with extra minerals so you should be ok . However you can use Modere Sugar Balance in water which is designed to stop cravings and great for blood sugar.
Water, Water, Water
Your body needs plenty of water during a detox. Drinking lots of water keeps you hydrated and helps flush out toxins, again being super organised here is important I recommend you purchase 2 boxes of high quality spring water. My favourite is (Mount Lofty Springs) you'll need extra water daily depending on your weight, aim for 3 litres or 30 ml per kilo of body weight. The reason I want you to have spring water is I want to make sure you're on the best water possible, most filters are ok but they do not get out all the chemicals and rainwater is loaded with heavy metals, bacteria and even parasites. You deserve the best!!!
Tips for a Successful Detox- try to do at least one a day if possible.
These practices will help promote cleansing and release of toxins throughout your detox , which will take the load of the liver.
Exfoliating your skin with a dry brush before taking a shower. Start low at feet and move up the body toward the heart.
Bath Time- Epsom salt essential oil bath- soak for at least 20 minute.
To enhance relaxation as you detox, consider buying some essential oils from Modere to add to your bathwater or use for massage. Incredibly calming, Lavender oil may be especially helpful for those suffering from caffeine-withdrawal-related headaches.
My absolute favourite to add to my bath is De- Stress. I also use this as a perfume as all perfume is hormone disruptive and definitely not to be used on your detox. Remember Dr Samuel Epstein who is one of the world's leading toxicologist and founder of the Cancer Prevention coalition said the average women exposes herself to approximately 108 toxic chemicals before she leaves her bathroom in the morning.
4. Walk a minimum of 1/2 hour a day. I recommend you do 1 hour early in the morning or at least while your fasting so before noon/lunch for the ultimate benefit. However whenever and however you fit your walking in as long as you get it in.
6. I highly recommend you Detox with a close friend or partner someone you can walk with and talk to about how your going and finding the mini 4 day detox.
7. Ending the Detox- also go slow and be sure to maintain a healthy diet over the weekend. If you are going to have a few alcoholic drinks on Friday night be sure you have a full stomach.
8. You can hop back on the detox again on the upcoming Monday through Thursday and continue re-starting every Monday until you reach your desired health goals.
Know What Not to Cut Out
Don’t stop taking any prescription medications while on any detox diet.
Discontinuing certain medications can have serious, possibly life-threatening consequences.
